Mrs. Emily Crawford, supervisor of boys at the Los Angeles Orphans’ Home and sister of Comedian Oliver Hardy, died yesterday at Monte Sano Hospital after a two-months illness. She was 52.
Since she came to Los Angeles from Nashville, Tenn., 12 years ago, Mrs. Crawford had devoted herself to charity work. She lived at the children’s home at 815 N. El Centro St, and taught without salary.
Funeral services will he conducted at the Little Church of the Flowers, Forest Lawn Memorial Park. at 11 a.m. tomorrow. Cremation will follow the rites.
Mrs. Crawford leaves, besides her actor-brother, her mother, Mrs. Emily Hardy, and a sister, Mrs. I. Y. Sage, both of Atlanta, Ga.
